Happy Easter
Despite the general lack of April weather (we were graced with five inches of snow this weekend...you wouldn't believe how much I'm craving some green. Any green) we had a marvelous Easter. While listening to conference I went wild with egg decorating and filling the eggs with melted chocolate. I give thanks to Mica for the tip and Martha Stewart for her pretty directions. I really wish I had taken pictures of the whole process. It was hilarious how NOT like Martha's my chocolate eggs went. It's probably just as well, considering the chocolate went everywhere. I was covered, the table was covered and it seemed the eggs had more on the shell and in the carton then in the actual eggs. So the camera was spared. But it would have been funny. But hey-- after a lot of laughing and back tracking, they turned out. So we carried on my families tradition of rice-crispy treat nests and I even found some edible grass. We quickly learned that 'edible' does not always mean 'tastes good' but no matter. I couldn't resist.
It was a true delight to have this Easter Sunday accompanied by the words of our modern prophets. My love of Christ was surely revived and I rejoice in my knowledge and relationship with Him. And even though our current weather is not coinciding with the usual symbols of nature's rebirth I am grateful for this Easter holiday to work together with Earth's renewal, reminding me in such a powerful way the rebirth we are allowed because of Christ's atonement and resurrection. There are so many reasons to rejoice. I hope everyone had a happy Easter!

So we had the edible (misnomer) grass as well :) The kids commented it tasted like ice cream cones--We should have made "Easter Sundaes" with it--get it? :)
Isn't Conference a blessing?
The Grandbabies were here in their Adorable Easter dresses (well P was just adorable--but not in a dress)We had a little Easter Egg hunt (P found the first one and brought it to me before we officially started)
Love you guys
Mom
It looks like you both had a great easter. The eggs look great very cute nests. What was the edible grass made out of?
I want to draw ducks and bunnies like that! How adorable! And I just love you. You always inspire me. Good work.
(Hey, real grass is also edible. Ya know, just in case you're feeling it next year...Or you could dye white chocolate so your rice Krispie treats are covered in chocolate! yum. Ok I'm stealing my idea.)
LOVE IT! I'm hoping to be organized enough next year to do this. Way to go!
