mother [muhth-er] n. a female or thing that creates, nurtures, protects, etc, something
these are my mothers:
Vera Jewell: My grandma is the matriarch of a great and large family and she's good at it. She is in tune with the Lord. She is a supreme teacher of good. She is my example and my role model. She is always wise and loving. She makes me laugh and has a way of putting me at ease in a way that no one else can.
Florence Fife: Ever stalwart and faithful, my grandma is my example of selfless service. She is generous and hard working. She is steadfast and loyal. She is a gatherer of her family and is a strong support of those she loves. She has a great smile and laugh. I have always been impressed with her dedication.
Aunt Claudia: Always has a smile and a chuckle for all she meets. She reminds me to have fun and to be optimistic. She is faithful and kind. She is observant and gives the greatest hugs. She is the best friend to have. I want to know the world the way she does.
Manda: Though I only officially met her once before she passed, mamaw has ever been an influence in our family. She was an accomplished cook and everyone pities me that I never got to eat her green beans or chocolate pie. She was beautiful and sweet. She was generous and kind. She made me feel welcome and I'll never forget how much fun her grandchildren had just by being around her.
Diana: I could not have asked for a better mother in law. She is my friend and confidant. She is always putting her family before herself and works so hard to keep everyone together. She makes me feel important and loved. She is faithful and constant. She is fun to hang out with. I feel so blessed to have her close.
Mom: She is creative and spiritual. She is steadfast in her faith and makes sure to put love into everything she does. I am always so impressed with her wisdom and advice that somehow manages to tie up everything I'm worried about. She knows her children in great detail and is always so good to point out things about myself that I've forgotten. She inspires me toward good. So glad I was blessed with my mom.
It's been an emotional day. It is rough to be so far from all my mothers. But I am so grateful to have had their impression in my life. Sweet Ian at church today, with a kiss on my cheek whispered "happy future mother's day." And who knows when that first mother's day will be, when I have a child of my own. But it made me think-- how great that when that day comes, I'll have a handbook of examples to look to on how to be great mother.
love you and miss you!
happy mothers day

Thank you Ms. S. I'm honored to be included in your Mom lineup. We could also turn this around and talk of your tenderness, your thoughtfulness, your interest in the small details, your ability with words, and your sweetness. I miss you.
Dear little sister, Please write a book already! You inspire me with your writing. Along with that, You described our "Mothers" perfectly in the way you portrayed them here. I am very happy that you have a close bond with your mother in law Diana, I hope one day I will share a similar friendship with my own future mother in law. Sascha, I love you and pray for you that you will soon be blessed with a child of your own. I know you will be an exceptional mother and Ian a great Father. Thanks for being a great example to me. Love you!
